Colleen Calder is a Maine-based master updo artist specializing in on-site boutique bridal hair services. She has a penchant for lived-in looks that are timeless, airy and romantic.
With over a decade of experience of making brides and clients feel comfortable and confident, she achieves a diverse range of looks by highlighting and maximizing people's natural beauty. Colleen has an exceptional eye for texture, color and placement.
In 2011, Colleen opened Aphrodite Salon where she serves a year-round bill of clients.
Colleen is happiest while strolling her local beach with her husband. momma and one year old daughter, Ada, and their spirited Westie Cregan.

Theresa is the newest member of team Aphrodite, as our wonderful Administrator. Colleen knows her better as her momma!
Theresa is part time NY’er and now part time Mainer. She enjoys beach days, Maine walks, a good parade and her granddaughter, Ada.
Theresa is your first point of contact in the inquiry processes. She is friendly and gets the job done.
Cregan Calder
Shop Dog, Master Greeter, and All Around Good Boy

Cregan is a five-year-old West Highland White Terrier, Aphrodite Salon’s greeting committee and all around good boy. In the salon you can find Cregan either napping, surveying the neighborhood and letting you know your hair looks good.
At home, Cregan is very fond of stuffed toys that are bigger than him, his wee sister, Mum and Dad, belly rubs, and a good dig in his sandbox. He is not fond of squirrels.
